On these pages you will find information about the International CensusAtSchool Project. CensusAtSchool aims to- Encourage children to get involved with data handling and learn statistical skills;
- Provide real data for data handling activities;
- Increase awareness of what national censuses are and what they are for;
- Show how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can be used effectively to enhance teaching and learning especially in the area of data handling.
It is presently running in the UK, Ireland, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Data can also be obtained for Queensland (2001 & 2003) and South Australia (2003 & 2004).
International DatabaseAccess is provided to the International CensusAtSchool Database via the Random Data Selector. This allows children to compare their results with children from across the world. Use the menu on the left to access this unique resource.
